If you just follow the instructions it’s easy. Only a couple pages, with pictures. Can’t be that hard.

The one you gave me with the RallyMetro has certainly been helpful.

Nissan makes all of theirs available for free online for vehicles 10 years or older. Theirs are nuts, I printed the whole service manual for my Xterra, and separated each chapter into different binders. 15 chapters and over 4000 pages.

I hope you printed that off at work....

I will keep that in mind if I’m working on a 10 year + Nissan. That’s neat they do that.

Left and right cylinder heads? I thought it was a transverse engine...

That’s nice that they do that. Over the years I’ve spent a small fortune on Bentley manuals for the various BMWs and VWs I’ve owned over the years.

I remember looking at the E39 manuals and seeing two books the size of the one for the E34, with one just for the electrical system. Scary...

I don’t know what’s available for the Mazda5 as I haven had to do anything other than routine maintenance. Every time I’ve needed a bit of info about how to do a particular job I’ve been able to find something on the internet, usually in a YouTube video.

Hyundai provides their FSM’s online for free to any owner with a valid VIN. even for NEW, current production vehicles.

I guess they still call the front of the engine front and transmission in rear.

Left is facing to front of car with oil stick.

I assume it’s most likely because they realize that most people with a 10+ year old Nissan aren’t coming to a dealership for maintenance/repairs, so it kinda saves face and makes them look good that they provide you with the necessary info to keep your car going.

My local Nissan dealership will even give me free advice for my ‘03 Xterra. I had an EVAP leak and went to them to have the system tested, and the tech said I could be in the shop when he did the test so I could see exactly where the leak was, and what I had to order and fix.
