There’s a gorgeous brown over brown 560SL available on Turo f or my trip to LA this summer . It seems like exactly what I’d want to enjoy SoCal in, but my concern is whether or not it has enough space for the luggage for a five day trip for two people. Think two good-sized suitcases and two or three smaller backpack-type bags, most likely. The old Motorweek review I found seems to indicate that I’d be fine between the trunk and the package shelf behind the seats, but I’m really nervous that I’d land in LA and pick up the car only to find that our stuff doesn’t fit in the car, or two. Also, an old convertible isn’t exactly the most thief-proof car. Anybody taken one of these cars on any sort of trip before?

You might have to put at least one of the backpacks behind the seats, but the trunk will swallow two small suitcases and at least one backpack just fine.

You have to reserve it.

Here’s a pic of one I saw yesterday at Miami. Was gonna make a whole post on my trip but it got deleted. I spent hours on it too. I’m pissed.

Is it being rented out with the hardtop fitted, or with the soft top?

If you’re planning to street park and have to leave important items in the car, I’d suggest not. Vehicle break-ins are unfortunately extremely common in LA.

Emmuch?

They are not sporty, they love fuel, and it is a 30 year old car, all that should be taken into account. That being said, not much better to cruise the boulevard, and these are undervalued cars here compared to Yourup.
