Since I have a seat for the car again, I decided to pull the trailer out from the side yard and test how the ramp and tie down situation works out on the new trailer. I wasn’t willing to drive the car up on a brand new trailer while sitting on an upside down bucket. It seemed like asking for something unfortunate to happen.

The trailer is completely useable as is, but I now know where I’ll add some D-rings to it for the tie downs. I then took it for a short tow of about 50 miles to try out the whole set up. It tow really, really nicely, and the factory integrated brake controller is goddamned awesome. I’m going to enjoy owning a trailer both has enough axles and isn’t a rusty piece of crap.

All of the red with the white wheels! And the white truck! So coordinated.

Looks good. Glad you will appreciate the new trailer that works like it should.

Judging by the lush lawns I think it’s safe to assume you live in a desert and that will be a pink trailer in a couple years.

El Paso. It will definitely be getting a coat of wax now and then. The boat trailer made it about 15 years of looking respectable with a coat of cleaner wax once a year. This one will get something of a break in that it only gets a few hours of direct sunlight a day tucked away in the side yard. The house and it’s overhang on one side and a six foot wall on the other keep it shaded for but a few hours in the middle of the day.

Funny enough, my backyard actually is lush, and it comes with the corresponding water bill. Small price to pay for green grass 11 months out of the year.
