Just because the truck is almost 50 years old doesn’t mean it doesn’t have to pull its on weight.

Really couldn’t tell you much. It’s parked out front of the SAAB aircraft museum in Linköping, Sweden. They also have a cars and coffee meet there once every week during the summer months. Usually around 300 cars show up so it’s pretty good.

Yes, yes I do, though they are very uncommon here compared to the States.

Sweden doesn’t have emissions laws that banish your truck to a polluter scrap heap? Are you allowed to do performance modifications to it?

Even though they aren’t rare here, that generation has been picking up value in the states. One in that condition would probably sell between $7 and $10k near me depending on motor/options/etc.

They do but only on 1975 vehicles and newer. And even at that, a catalytic converter isn’t required until 1988 so for older vehicles you can pretty much do whatever you like.
This truck currently has a 305 and th700 out of a 90's Caprice so it wouldn’t really have any issues passing emissions anyways.
As long as you don’t do any obvious performance mods (like a turbo or supercharger) you can get away with most stuff. And even if you absolutely had to have a twin turbo setup there are several ways to make your car legal with that.
