!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
So the editorial that kind of attacked me ran in the Sacramento Bee on Thanksgiving, and seemed pretty mild, in light of some of the things that have been said about me. But it wasn’t exactly nice. It ran today as the main editorial in my hometown paper. While it was not as bad as it could be, it upset my older son a little, which was kind of a bummer. Oh, well, nothing I can do about it.

As long as people arent coming to your house to do stuff to you, you’ll be fine.
if that starts happening, I would recommend a 12 gauge winchester and bird shot.
maybe a rifle for a bit more range

What is this controversial position you have taken? It seems I missed the post. I’m going to assume you are probably solidly right from what I’ve seen in the past and with most situations like this people with no skin in the game are the ones ready to villanize you.
