I use my wife’s late 90's early 2000's super triple double bass lots of flashy lights all in one 3 disc changer thingy from collage. Its so old that every time I turn it on its as if its turned on for the first time so i have to quickly set it to the “voice” preset just so it’s tolerable otherwise it’s all subwoofer. I hate it but I’m cheap so it’ll do.

I had my choice of this one or one of those. Chose simplicity. This also had a disc changer but it wasn’t connected somehow.

Nice, something about working on a car with earbuds, or headphones just doesn’t feel right. Something unsettling about it hearing your ratchet click, and what if a nut or bolt falls, you want to hear where that sucker goes,

Mine lights up the whole garage even when it’s off.. Looks like a casino in there at night. I have a couple receivers that I could throw out there but honestly who gives a crap. It works.

They’re a little small but the stickers make up for it. My garage system uses 15" coaxial drivers as speakers...they are VERY efficient. Which also means loud...

I’ve got louder speakers but these take up the least room and while they don’t rock the amp is only 60 watts so any speakers I put there are only going to be so loud... Plus sound really carries from my garage so maybe too loud isn’t ideal.

True...what you have is sized appropriately for the situation. On the other hand, our nearest neighbour is the best part of half a mile away.

I lucked out and found an old Realistic reciever at my church’s garage sale. Pair that with two Pioneer Signature bookshelfs (5 smacks) and it makes some noise. Then my dad gave me back my old Sony powered sub and I have a decent sounding garage radio for nothing.
