Um, what’s the story with the headlights? Are those washer nozzles in the center or do the bulbs go through the glass towards the reflectors?

Guessing washers/wipers! There were washer/wiper headlights for the FIAT 126p as well!

Yay for Polonezes! Trying to remember the name of that bodykit from my chats with Borsuq about random Polish machinery.......Orciari....?

Thanks.

I really like the design; especially with the body kit.

Yes.

...don’t take this the wrong way, but how the HELL does a dude in Canada know about Orciaris and Inter Groclins?

I have a thing for weird cars! :D

It all started with the classic FIAT 500, which I love. Their prices have shot up a lot though, so I was looking for other cars I could get someday as a fun car. I learned of the 126 as they are basically a 500 with more modern bodywork and, considering Poland produced them under license from FIAT all the way until 2000, there are still relatively lots of them floating around in decent shape. From there I started learning about other Eastern Bloc (especially Polish) cars as I have a thing for quirky and basic rides. :)

Borsuq was a user on Oppo awhile back from Poland who doesn’t post anymore, but he owns a FIAT 126p, so I’ve talked to him a LOT about it, plus Polish cars/classics in general....Polonezes, Nysas, Zuks, Tarpans, OSA scooters, Syrenas, Romet motorbikes, Cinquecentos, Star trucks, Seicentos, plus various prototypes of each...also other rides that were common in the Eastern Bloc/Poland in the 80's/90's: Trabants, the Skoda 105/120/130/Estelle series, Zastavas, Ladas...

My dream garage would have a 126p, Trabant, Polonez Caro (pre-Daewoo with the 1.5L or 1.6L FIAT-derived engine), FIAT Cinquecento Sporting, and a Skoda 105/120/130/Estelle. The Cinquecento Sporting would make a fun little DD over here, but parts would be hard to come and they would die a rusty death in the winter. :/

My display name doesn’t lie! :D
