Compared to my sister’s ‘90 with the 4.0 and 5 speed:

Longer wheelbase makes it not as much fun in cities and parking lots.

More power, doesn’t bitch about being on the freeway.

Less torquey feeling by far. Needs to rev instead of just go.

Spent the weekend kicking the footwell trying to set the parking brake

I’m not sure how you got this feeling. IIRC the 3.6 makes more torque across the range than the 4.0, unless the weight and gearing is that much worse in the JK.

Also note the automatic vs manual situation. And there is the issue of 3000lbs vs 4400lbs.
