It was a grandma car haha. She kept meticulous records of it. The folder I got with the car even has newspaper clippings from the 90s about daihatsu that she liked.
Im going to change the timing belt to be safe, replace a noisy CV joint. Then just enjoy it.

Most ex-Daihatsu dealers that still do parts are total dicks about it in my experience. I had to ring up three ones just to buy some suspension bushes, the one in Haslemere was the only helpful one in the end.

It was undersealed annually and lived an easy life (only has 50k miles). It has a little bubbling on the rear arches and a couple spots on the doors. The spots on the doors are because someone removed some shitty rubbing strips it had on the side and it took the paint off. Everything structural is perfect.

They have really revvy little engines, they arent happy until youre past 3500rpm. A lot of fun but not great for motorway driving haha.

Very cool, I had been tempted by one of the turbo kei cars (mostly focused on the alto works) but my project car budget is a bit too small at the moment. This is still a lot of fun though.
