Kinja'd!!!

That it’s 59 degrees in Chicago on November 24th. Probably the last top down day of 2017 here.

Pulled up next to an NC Miata at a light, he had the top down too, so I gave him a thumbs up. Gotta enjoy it while we can!

66 here in Davenport, IA (2 1/2 hrs west of Chicago). Enjoying this weather as much as possible, as it likely won’t be here again for another 5 months. Ugh...

Yeah, I just got out of the house myself. Running errands, avoiding mall traffic....

An E46 323ci cabriolet? Don’t think I’ve ever seen one of those in person.

2000 MY only in the US. First year the E46 cab was introduced and last year for the 168 Hp 2.5 I6.

1 owner car too. :)

Is that calypsorot? Or did the e46 not get that color

No, Calypsorot wasn’t available on the E46 in 2000, at least, and I don’t think at all in the US. I would have gotten that color if it was available.

It’s Siena red metallic. It has more brown/copper in it - more noticeable on cloudy days than sunny.

Sometimes I don’t understand BMW’s logic. They did the same thing with the 428i Gran Coupe with a manual. All the certification work, sell it for a few months then discontinued.

Ha- I think a couple below 0C is aboutthe coldest I’ve had the top down.

As I get older, I have less desire to do that - main issue these days is that I’m rarely driving in the middle of the day when the sun is high.

But with the heated seats cranked up and the windows up, it stays pretty warm below 45 mph or so.

What BMW used to do was introduce new engines a year or two after redesigning the car. First couple years of the E46 carried over the E36 engines (M52), then were updated in 2001.

2001 saw some sizable HP bumps in the E46.

Being a convertible with the 168 Hp engine, the only E46 slower then mine would be the same car with an auto trans.

I went outside and put my winter tires on the truck, and bagged a ton of leaves. Gotta make hay while the sun is shining.

Oh man that brings me back to some good times, 323CI too!

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Is yours manual? Loved everything about that car, but by the time I was able to drive it the soft top wasn’t working. Great engine and so much fun to slide in the wet/snow.

Yep! It’s a manual.

Gotta love traction control that can be completely shut off with the push of a button!

My 2-stroke single stage Toro is ready to go. My buddy is coming over tomorrow to walk me through cleaning the carb on the gigantic old Craftsman blower I garbage picked a couple months ago.
