I have so many things to be thankful for on this day. First and foremost I’d like to thank my parents, this country of opportunity and my current position in life.
Now, on this day of Thanksgiving, I present to you my latest acquisition: A 2001 Chevrolet Corvette with 54,000 miles. I did the deal Saturday and had it delivered on Monday. Today, I finally had chance to get out and take a few photos in daylight.
Sure, it may be a 16 year old car and there are some minor cosmetic issues and wind noise (removable roof related I think), but otherwise it is a real gem. I still can’t believe I have a Corvette in my garage. It’s truly a dream car. She sounds fantastic with her Magnaflow exhaust too.
Unfortunately, at some point she’ll have to go into hibernation for the winter. Boo.

Looks great! Congratulations.
I’ve been thinking that a C5 is a strong contender for fun car in my garage, rather than a LS swapped 944.

Nice. Check the weather stripping around the doors and windows as well. My C5Z had wind noise and it was the weather stripping.

Yeah, I can hear most of it directly behind my head/left ear. I am tempted to try and re-seat the roof but I doubt that’ll fix anything.

Oh, I’m on it. This week looks nice n’ clear with a couple of days in the 50's too.
Plus, the gas mileage is so much better than my Tiguan. LOLZ

Mainly keeping a cruiser. I do want to do some small stuff like changing the shifter, skip shift eliminator, etc.

Oh wow, that thing really is pristine. I hear the C6 shifter is a good stock replacement. I have the MGW and it’s great for racing but requires a little effort for daily use.

I definitely like the look/feel of the C6 shifter. However, I am not looking forward to removing the “demon key”.
Speaking of racing... I do want to take it autocrossing. I miss autox badly.
