Oh surprise! Another Mini and another Cappuccino, how original of me :D

Both cars are pretty damn awesome! That Cappuccino has the tightest LSD I’ve ever used on a Cappuccino, which does make it a bit terrible for everyday drives... but in the mountains. Oh my... It’s fun!

The Mini has a lot of grip. The video of it will come up later, the entire uphill was done with a sporty looking Audi A3 trying to keep up with these almighty 42hp. As soon as the corners started the Audi fell waaaay back, it was funny to see :)

Anyway, if any of you guys want two awesome cars, they are for sale ;)

I kind of wish I had the funds for it right now, that mini looks awesome and is on my “wish list” for cars to someday own... Not yet though.

Huh, thought of you while browsing for a motocompo yesterday. It’s amazing how much time one can spend looking for what other people would consider old junk :)

Pity. I was going to mount it up front. I have the Georgia plate already. The were very quick and even issued me a temp the day I took the paperwork in. My son is a huge fan of Pacific Rim and Godzilla movies so I got “90KAIJU” for the plate. First vanity plate I have ever gotten. I figured why not?

The interior on that ‘88 is amazing.

The interior is very nice, if not for that one white bucket seat... a bit weird... I don’t mind a different driver seat, but they could have taken a black one to go with the black interior lol

Do you know what the licence plate should read?

There are several place sin the U.K. that sell them and a place in the U.S. on ebay that will make a personalised one for $15.99.

Tough choice. I want both. And I want some curvy mountain roads to drive them on. Shame I love in Chicago.

I can’t blame you for importing mini’s Flavien. Great cars + pretty sure they must have great resale. I wish I could find a body shell myself, really want to build one of those British zcars kits eventually.

I think I have a pic that showed it. Thanks for the link! I had to drill new holes in the Georgia plate to get it to mount to the trunk lid mount holes. I’m sure I’m go8mg to jail for that.

No worries.

Do you not use/have licence plate adhesive tabs

Kinja'd!!!

Thing is, once there one, they are pretty well attached so it they need removed, it may take a while.

I know that the U.K. receives assigned number combos and then contracts the actual plate manufacturing to a third party, but license plates in Canada and the U.S. are metal rectangles issued by the government department responsible for licensing. That’s why our plates can’t wrap around a curve, unfortunately.

? I’m sorry, you’ve lost me.

Wrap around curves?

If your response is to the adhesive tabs over screwing them method of attachment.

This is what I meant.

Yeah - number plates in Canada and the U.S. are only made out of metal and secured by screws - no flexible materials, so cars without much of a flat area on the front are particularly difficult to mount on.

It appears that plates in the U.K. can be made of any material of the right strength and reflectivity, which I was guessing could be something more easily bendable (the curve part I mentioned - i.e. around the front prow of a modern exotic).

I take your point however the vehicle in question is a Mini which the owner drilled additional holes into his licence plate to attach to the vehicle with the existing holes on the car.

But some people who have metal licence plates do attach them to curves sections by putting a bend in to follow the curved surface.
