Failed the test for 5th percentile women not wearing a seatbelt. How much of the time do these conditions exist in an accident? Why are they responsible for safety when people aren’t wearing their seatbelt?

While I’m not a big fan of the i3 this is a stupid recall and to me it didn’t fail anything. It’s time to stop testing for people not wearing seatbelts. Natural selection will run it’s course.

I agree. You cannot make a true idiot-proof car. Electing to not wear a seatbelt is not a burden that the manufacturer should share.

Agreed, if you don’t use the seatbelt, you’re not really using the product (car) as it was intended to be used, so the manufacturer really shouldn’t be responsible at that point.
