Looking on CL I found this nice little green Accord. Looks like something your aunt used to drive. You know that aunt that’s not exactly cool, but like she’s kinda fun. She works at in retail, and still has big 80s air. Her names probably Janice. She never got married so she didn’t need a big sedan, or SUV, be deep down she’s a conservative who values reliability and low cost of ownership above all else. So she bought a 90 Accord coupe new and ran it till it blow up, after burning off its oil at 240,000 miles. Yeah this is her car. The car she most likely replaced with a new Accord Coupe because change is good, but also overrated.

Except it isn’t. Because it has a H22 from a Prelude Si, paired to the world class Integra GSR 5 speed transmission.

And the seller is only asking 2500 probably less than the cost of the swap itself.

I want it. My ‘90 Accord coupe (manual) was the best car I’ve ever owned. I’d almost rather have the F22 for reliability, but the H22 would be plenty of fun for a long, long time.

Agreed on the reliability of the F22. Mine is sitting at 345k miles and I rallycross it. Though i have though many times of doing that swap and priced it out. That car is worth it in parts alone

YES. That’s awesome! I rallycross my current Civic, but I really wish I still had my Accord, because I know it would just be nukeproof out there. Heck of a job on 345k! Mine got to 235k before I botched some maintenance (spark plug tube seals), and ended up bending a rod and cracking the block. I’ve been looking for another one ever since.

Yep they pretty much are and that stinks, it would have been perfect for a swap lol. Some one else on here had a coupe too but he ripped the oil pan off some how.

They are super rare though, i have only seen 2 others. Even so I love mine, it’s a sponge for suspension parts since rally cross but like you said bullet proof. Plus I know them pretty well since my first car was a CB9 (wagon version and manual as well).
