Beautiful day today compared to yesterday, and headed south to White Water Falls in Nantahela Forest near the SC line. Hiked down about 1,500 vertical feet, went a ways along the river, then back up. Rewarded by this 911 turbo at the parking lot.
Stopped for gas nearby, and two motorcycles rolled in. I went over to chat and take this picture in order to antagonize my brother who told me he was considering trading his current ride for a BMW R100 like this (this is a 1978). After texting it to him, it seems to have worked!

We are in North Carolina near Lake Toxaway/Cashiers. Enjoying exploring this area, lots of great hikes.
Lots of great drives, too, but I’m with my wife who is prone to motion sickness, so no fun allowed.

Helen is about 2 hours away. I could be at the Tail of the Dragon in about the same time . . . I’d just have to leave my wife behind, what with her motion sickness.
