Bow hunting?
Why not axe hunting?

Kinja'd!!!

Seriously though, since it’s stealthier than a gun, but also slower, how does it compare to using a rifle?

In Missouri there is only 10 days of firearms season. So outside of that there are some weekends for youth firearms, and alternative methods ( black powder & pistol)

Archery is defiantly harder, where you have to have the deer with in 30-40 yards/ meters opposed to 100+ meters or as far as you are comfortable shooting with a rifle.

The way the season isn’t set up also is during the rut or breeding season where the natural instincts are masked by the urge to mate. Firearms season is righ in the middle of that where bow is before during and after.

Don’t be fooled be the sound of a loud gun going off will some times scare deer and sometimes not even phase them. It’s unnatural to them so sometimes they don’t even know where the sound came from.

I haven’t harvested a deer with my bow yet, but since they are closer you have to be more quiet, more still. And the rush and excitement is exhilarating.
