Still better than what my dumb ass did the other day. Started tearing out a monstrosity of a fluorescent fixture in my laundry room after it’s ballast gave up the ghost. Was treated to this mess left by the PO:
WTF?! Anyway, I let my 8 year old daughter pick out a light fixture and was pleasantly surprised when she selected a cheap but reasonbly tasteful 3-bulb bronze-colored thing with frosted glass shades:
Good enough, right? I’ll fix the ceiling paint over the holidays. You see where this is going though...
Yeeeep, my dumb ass forgot to consider the cabinets. Which now open right into the light. Oh well, I don’t feel like going up there to pull it down and it is better than no light. So it stays for now. The silver lining is we have a half bath that has fixtures that are the same faux-bronze that has a never-used ceiling heater. So I’ll stuff it in there. Some time next year maybe.
