Due to the amazing metalwork I did the fender has a ridiculous amount of flex. Couple this flex with a substantial bondo upper layer and we get these cracks. Though I’m a little surprised it’s taken 5 months for this to happen, the lower photo dosent do justice to how much bondo is filling cracks.

In my defense a big motivation for making the fenders was to keep myself off of some stuff goin on in life at the time, not necessarily quality.

Dr. RamblinRover prescribes more weld and some body solder.

Ramblin’ is on the right track with welding and solder, and I’d suggest starting mud work with some of this stuff. More rigid than straight poly filler.

Didn’t know that was a thing, I’ve since sold the welder but next time I make a set of fenders it’ll be on the list of things to use right next to fiberglass filler
