How owning 4+ cars work while living downtown

How does that work? Do you rent parking or have enough where you live right now?

Using this article as my only reference , I’m inclined to say no. Italian design (+) but Ford motor (-) and autotragic only (-) in the US is hard pass for me. I love weird little offroaders and I love Italian cars, but this one just seems like too much of a mish-mash.

Because animals are cute, animals riding other animals are even cuter, and getting something to ride a turtle is sort of low hanging fruit.

I managed to expand my garage to accommodate three cars when we went from three cars to five. Luckily we also have a lot of available street parking, and a longish driveway.

That said, I was late to work this morning because the car I wanted to drive was blocked in by four others... It isn’t ideal.

Can one use “downtown” and “Oklahoma” in the same sentence?

Also a bit of a stretch in my case. “Downtown” is defined as inside the IDL and I live like... a block outside of it.

Did you buy that property?

We should probably grab lunch sometime. Y/N?
_ Related: can you drink beer at (weekday) lunch?

Sort of. Verbal offer accepted, but then he found out I’m getting lawyers involved and got a little weird. So... yes proceeding but nothing has been signed yet.

Sure! IIRC I found you on FB before. I’ll hit you up there.

Technically no, but...

I see that you’ve got at least one Land Rover. How’s that been? I’m seriously considering an RR sport 2013 or newer. I know the compressors/bags are an issue but are LRs really as bad as the internet says?

Lawyers just to make sure nothing gets missed in the process?

I own a Discovery, but haven’t for long. My understanding is they’re pretty much as bad as the internet says, but it is uh... not as bad as you’d think. Which is to say, they tend to break a lot, but it is usually minor stuff like sensors and switches. So far it has been expensive to repair, but no more so than my Alfa and Saab. The air suspension is, apparently, an expensive, unreliable beast. Mine was replaced with conventional prior to my ownership, but looking into it a bit the compressor is at least $1k, not sure on the bags themselves.

Overall they’re complicated machines with a lot of dumb design decisions, but they also make you feel pretty special. I don’t think I’d own one as an only vehicle, but as an addition to the fleet I am quite happy with it... so far...

Fair enough. I was previously owner number 3 on an E90M3 which nickel and dimed me into a trade (assuming nickels are $500 and dimes are $1000). Which I’m using as my absolute limit for automotive torture.

It wouldn’t be my only car but it would be my main car/dd. I’m handy enough with a wrench but I’ve come to understand that you need some LR specific diag tools and a lift to justify servicing the air suspension yourself.

Pretty much. Basically using lawyers in place of a real estate agent to make sure everything is on the up and up. Rural land is apparently a legal shitmess with most deals done via quick claim deeds which doesn’t fly for me.

Ok apparently I don’t remember how I found you on facebook anymore...

I’ll shoot you an email.

Albert G’s is always a good pick, but The Vault has good food and parking and all the rest are pretty OK. Only one I don’t care for is Yokozuna.

Sounds good. Haven’t been to Albert G’s in a long time (for no good reason). I’m also a fan of the Vault. We went to Sisserou’s today, and I love Lassalle’s as well. I guess the Prairie Brewpub is open for lunch now, too. What I really pine for downtown is a good Thai or Vietnamese place (I’ve tried both the Japanese noodle places - pretty good). Poke Bowl Love is tasty, too, but expensive (par for the course for sushi, I guess).

Oh yeah... I forget that is sort of a Tulsa term, despite making good sense as a term.

IDL = Loop of highways surrounding downtown

The world needs more/better Thai and Vietnamese places. My local place closed and was replaced by a subparexican food place.
