I like this color combo a lot. It’s also got the premium sound system, I would have very much liked that. It does have double the miles my car had, and doesn’t have idrive.

So, it’s quite possible that after Thanksgiving I’ll go look at a car that’s basically the twin of mine, but that has 30k less miles, a new clutch, and some nice modications... It’s a sickness.

I’ve been checking Tacoma values. It is hard not selling my truck and upgrading to a full-size, upgrading my boat and keeping the same payment.

The only other option(s) would be a ToyoBaru (doesn’t get my heart racing) or a 2-series (too practical and I don’t have enough for a straight-six). The MX-5 also has an undeniable “cool” factor to it.
I’ve only seen one other person get a better deal than me. A reddit user was able to get a dealer down to $22,000.

I was going to start buying used Tacomas as an investment. I spent a week in Alabama for my friend’s wedding, who is also a car enthusiast. Every time we saw a taco we’d be like look a 30k truck, even if it was 20 years old.

I stopped after awhile when I got my M3; however, I paid fair market value for it and I spent over 2 months looking for it so I knew I did alright. With the 3, I could literally not find another one, even now it’s hard to find one even close to the one I got. 40k miles one owner.

I can understand that. I’m actually really happy with my current line up. I’m thinking about trying to get back into oil and wondering what I’d buy. Honestly, I think I’d just keep my cars, even if I could easily afford something like an AMG.

I can look it up when I get home, but I think mine’s old enough to have a 2008 build date. Pretty sure I do not have bluetooth audio, but I do have bluetooth calling. I guess I do have some stuff to say about it but I can’t remember anything without people asking.

My 2009 328i has bluetooth for calling only. My 2011 M3 has both bluetooth audio and calling.

I don’t think there’s a trick to it, I think it’s a feature that was added later. Despite being made only like 16 months after my 328i, the M3 idrive is vastly different than the one in the 3.

It really is hard to find a good 2011 with a stick. Here’s one that’s not too much money , but it’s a DCT. I remember how hard it was back in 2014 to find one, and that’s when they were still showing up at dealers. It really doesn’t make much sense to get another 2008, especially since yours doesn’t seem to have any major problems, and you know the service history.

Here’s the car. Mine has 108k on the original clutch, and still has original throttle actuators - the rationale is that I’d be getting a car with less miles & less wear, with some of these big maintenance items taken care of... Also has the ZCP wheels, which I’ve wanted for a long time.

Have driven mine very very little so far but it seems to break loose pretty easily. I think it could definitely use an LSD at least. My N54 feels *strong*. That’s partly why I pulled the trigger. I’d been looking at F30s but this feels a lot quicker than any N55 I’ve ever driven, especially the manual ones.

My steering wheel trim around the horn is super flaky but I’m too lazy to do anything about it. Everything else is in great shape, though!
