I worked at Lexus as a service tech when the whole throttle entrapment nonsense happened I did an experiment with a ES350 (same drivetrain as a 2010ish V6 Camry) went WOT and stepped on the brake repeatedly untell the vacuum in the booster was gone, and then tried with everything I had on the brake wile keeping the car at WOT. The car continued to accelerate, it definitely was not going to bring it to a stop. Also this was before the PCM was reprogrammed with the brake override software.

This is a tree service truck. More specifically, it tows around a huge wood chipper that shoots saw dust all over the truck. The cowling at the base of the windshield had so much shit crammed in it that it started composting.

Actually, this customer has been on it with service, the previous owner not so much. Sad, because the 5.7L 3UR is a tough engine to kill.

That duck-taped battery and ‘don’t fix: just a tune-up’ is a large part of why I hardly ever do side-jobs any more. People ignore basic maintenance, then want any problems fixed for $20 and stare blankly when I try to explain that trouble-shooting a hesitation when hot is tough when they haven’t changed plugs, air-filter, or EVEN THE FREAKING OIL since they got the car a year&1/2 ago.

(Sorry. Little bitter here.)
