I love it, the wheel is the best part about it. You can set the “clutch” on it to spin freely with when you spin it fast, but click when you move slowly.

I’ve got the performance MX at home and I like it, but like I said, the wheel is my favorite part. You can get the original MX master for $50 or less on eBay. There is a new version, but I’m not sure what has changed.

Are you using the quick start method for restore? I wanted to but the first guy’s old 6 went into recovery mode when I tried to update it, so I’m setting up the X from an iTunes backup.

Really awesome and I was totally ready to hate face id, worked without hesitation with the lights off in my office. It does not even show your face or notification or anything, just unlocks.

When I saw that it will autofill any password on Safari or within any app on your phone via FaceID, I was sold. Also the function in which the message preview on the lock screen only appears when it recognizes your face is really nice.

This is what sold me as well. Also, it works better for me than TouchID ever did. There are far fewer failures than I had with TouchID.

FaceID though works much more seamlessly than I ever imagined. I don’t even think about it and I’ve learned a bunch of small tricks to help Face ID keep learning. For example, if you obstruct your face like by having your fist in your cheek like so:
Face ID may not recognize you, simply put in your passcode if it doesn’t. Immediately relock your phone without moving your hand from your face and try to use FaceID again and it works.
Anytime Face ID doesn’t work, don’t press cancel just simply input your passcode and Face ID will save what it just learned and add it to your Face ID to further improve recognition.

I’m also rolling a 6s. If it was not an “s” I’d be wanting to upgrade now. If was to upgrade now I’d go for the 10 over the 8/8+. I’ve got no beef with using the included headphone adapter.
I’m going to wait until probably this time next year, I would feel even more strongly about that if I had a fancy case. As cool as the new phones are, I don’t feel the need to upgrade until the hardware isn’t able to keep up like my wife’s 6+

Lol nah all your facial information (same goes for TouchID fingerprints) is stored on the device in the secure enclave. Apple cannot see it and it never gets sent to the cloud . This is the reason Apple can’t even unlock a criminal’s phone even when pressed by the FBI to do so, they don’t even have the tools to get the information and refuse to create them (which as you remember pissed the FBI off).

Lol it’s cool be paranoid, it’s a free country! They bought an Israeli A.I. company that already had the technology so for all we know a bunch of people/govt’s have definitely had access to this company and many like them for years. Apple certainly wasn’t here first I know that much.

Does not bother me at all except that I put the first persons glass screen protector on really close to perfect haha. I should have done it with the screen on.
The biggest change for me was getting used to not using a button. Everything that used to be a button press is now a flick from the bottom of the screen.

Really well. Face ID is much better than I would have guessed. The hardest part is getting used to no home button.
There is a new method for transferring data called quick start. Both phones have to be on ios 11, you put them next to each other and start the quick start transfer.
I couldn’t do it that way with the first phone that I setup, so I backed it up to a PC and restored that way. You can just backup your old phone to a new PC, then restore on the new phone everything will transfer.
