The shop manager is re-covering these seats for someone to put in their hot rod. He doesn’t know what they came from but between the plastic on the back, the electric plug underneath, and the blue-black vinyl I’m guessing it can’t be newer than late 60s. I’m getting a 70s American vibe, and it must have been a 2 door because of the latch on the side and the way they fold. The backboards look very 70s GM but I’m not sure.

*EDIT*

They’re from a Mustang II Mach I

The Truth About Cars had a “junkyard find,” about this car.

The rails and the slide latch look very similar to a mid-80s Suburban. Blazer?

They seem too narrow to be a full size Blazer, and the rails are low for a full size SUV...

Here’s something a little similar in a ‘72 Dart:

Maybe, but the top of the headrests have a clip like there should be something attached at the top. It’s odd, and it might be custom but I’m not so sure.

The shape looks like something out of a cutlass. We had a 2nd gen when I was a kid and these seem familiar. I’m not sure about that pattern though.

Nice sleuthing. I could not find it. I was following the post closely. The Mustang II fits the sporty, but cheap look they have.
