I’ve watched every episode of the new format, and I really like it as well. Ant is always a little too happy, but overall is as good at explaining his steps as Edd was.
They are re-airing older episodes from the end of the old team (the ones where they had the workshop in California) in Germany right now. And in hindsight it’s easy to see that the chemistry just wasn’t there anymore. Edd comes off as the grumpy old guy always complaining about the junk Mike bought. Mikeis working on the cars on his own and so on. You can almost feel that Edd just wasn’t 100% in it anymore.
