Kinja'd!!!

The truck is washed and all ready to go out to Tucson to pickup the new trailer I ordered. Any Oppo recommendations for a place to eat dinner and maybe drink some beers in the downtownish area?

For beer and pub food you can hit up Bison Witches or Lindys. They’re both in the 4th Ave district which is just north of downtown. Lindy’s has great burgers and both have good beer selections. Martin’s is on 4th Ave as well and has great street tacos, but he randomly closes the place sometimes. If you want some of the best Mexican food in Arizona head into South Tucson to Mi Nidito (this is what I would do). There’s also the original El Charro Cafe near downtown which is a Tucson classic and very good.

Looking for a one stop shop for good beer and good food? Ermanos on 4th ave is amazing, great beers and great food. If you want something a tad more “authentic mexican tucson style” then, yeah Mi Nidito is basically *the* place, but because of that waits can be long. So El Charro is a nice balance. If after you eat you want a place to have more than a single beer, tap and bottle is awesome, and of course there are a number of breweries spotted here and there.

Lindy’s was featured on one of them fancy food tv shows, and deservedly so, but it’s a burger place. Period. Just a damn good one.

Enjoy Tucson and drive safe.

If you’re still around for breakfast go to the Hotel Congress. Hands down one of the coolest/best places I’ve been too in my life.

Tucson native. Lived here 37 years, of more than a dozen experiences at Cup Cafe (the restaurant in Hotel Congress), I’ve had one positive one. But I kept going because other people love it. I’ve just stopped now and haven’t been in years.

Thanks. I’ve started at Ermanos, and I’ll probably wander up 4th and see what else looks good later.

Awesome. My wife and I have eaten there a few times and my brother swears by them. Also, Tap and Bottle is just a couple of blocks to the west (on 6th, just north of the underpass / railroad tracks).

Hope you enjoyed it!

It was seriously good food and a seriously good beer list. It hit the spot. Then I wandered up 4th and found the pinball place, and them even had a couple of old electro-mechanical machines.

Thanks. I did dinner and beer at Ermanos and then followed up with a second beer at Bison Witches. Both were very good. I then found the pinball place and entertained myself for an hour on about $2 before heading back the hotel. After getting the trailer tomorrow, my plan is to spend the rest of the morning at the Pima Museum before heading back to El Paso.
