Kinja'd!!!

I helped a new acquaintance strip parts off a Porsche 944 parts car this afternoon, including front fenders, headlights, front sway bar, bumper, hatch. This helps minimize my desire to have my own project car, which is good for my wife.

It was very satisfying work, and good conversation. Plus, there is a lot about car mechanics that I can learn from this guy. I look forward to other opportunities to help him fix up the project 944.

This sounds like it would make you want a project car more, not less

Working on his is a reminder of the space required and the busted knuckles potential. Plus, unless I wanted a track car, I’m not sure what I’d want in another car.

But time will tell! You may be right.

I thought busted knuckles was the whole point?

Yes, but with someone else’s project I can stop whenever I want.
