He also had no license due to multiple DUI’s in the past. Officer is lucky to be alive. Drink responsibly this holiday season everyone.

The issue with rural areas is people get shitfaced and then have no other way to get home than driving. If you’re going to drink, have a plan to get a ride or to spend the night wherever you are. It’s not worth the possibility of killing yourself or others.

By all means drink. Just maybe like... two.

Eh, know your limit, keep things minimal, save your money because booze is expensive.

If you want to drink, don’t drive, if you want to drive, don’t drink. It’s that simple.

None of the ‘know your limits’, or the ‘just have two’, just don’t drink if you need to drive to get home.

I don’t care if it’s in the boonies or what.

Why should other lives be put at risk because you can’t arrange transport home.

The ‘it’s expensive to get a taxi’, ‘inconvenient to ask a friend’, etc... doesn’t wash with me. Drinking is expensive but you do it, replacing a totalled car is expensive because your insurance won’t pay out because you were over the limit of blood or breath alcohol, it’s inconvenient to get transport when you lose your licence because of previous incident.

No excuse. Why risk killing someone if not yourself, financial hardship because you lost your licence and if you have a driving job, likely lose your job too, do damage to someone’s or yourown property because you couldn’t plan ahead on how to get home ie in the form of a friend to pick you up, keep some money to one side to get a taxi or similar home or have a place or friend to put you up for the night nearby.

Sorry about the rant but drink drivers piss me off, especially as they are the ones who have a higher likelihood of staying alive due to the ragdoll effect alcohol creates in an incident.

This happened in Alpharetta Georgia. Tons of Uber’s in this area.
