for 79 year old Rod Hall on completing his 50th Baja 1000 finishing 1st in his class after a shockinly close race with Cangaru racing and their 200 series land cruiser
Something happened on day 1 (rest break? mechanical problem? I don’t know) with the number 8155 and they lost 4 hours while hall and his number 8101 H1 hummer barreled on. The Cruiser team picked up the pace and was closing the gap but it wasn’t quiet enough. They were less than 20 minutes late to La Paz behind Hall after 2+ days of racing.
Still, its hard to be mad when the only competition for the team you are rooting for is a legend like Rod

That IS amazing. I know a lot of 30 -40 somethings, who’s spines couldn’t take that kind of abuse. A 79 year old? AND he won? Kudos Mr. Hall
