I really want the #8155 200 series land cruiser to win the stock full class.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I mean...look at it. Plus I know a few of these guys and their shop is just down the street from me.

But

Its only competition is this

The #8101, a hummer H1 pickup, and its driven by Rod Hall who has driven EVERY ONE of the Baja 1000 runs. ALL OF THEM. Its the 50th anniversary of the race and for him to win would be pretty great.

That seems a little sad the only stock full class entries are a LC and a Hummer.

How heavily modified is that Hummer?

I know a guy who jumped a stock Army-issue HumVee of a loading dock in the late 80s when they were brand new. He worked in the Motor Pool. I don’t think he broke anything on the HumVee or on himself.

I drove one of those on the Autobahn at 75 or 80 mph for a couple hundred miles once. There was a power band in the upper RPMs of those diesel engines that made them go pretty well. They also had all of the small arms protection of a soda can and a camping tent.

Stock full allows for relocated upper shock mounts and longer stroke shocks plus the standard safety stuff (fuel cell, roll cage, etc) but they have to run pretty much stock engine, trans, axles, mounting points etc.

There was a Roadkill episode where they had a 1000-hp off-road behemoth on a road course. I think they races against the Draguar. I thought it looked like fun.
