Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

A fully loaded Renegade DesertHawk with all the bells and whistles

Or a stripped wrangler with just enough ameneties to be livable (A/C is NOT standard)

Its the wrangler I know, but its inteersting to me that you can get a renegade well into good wrangler territory.

Top of the bottom. And that’s not a bad thing

I don’t blame you. If you need a reasonable DD that can handle the odd beach or forest service road its not going to do you wrong.

Yeah, I mean I looked at them when I was buying, but it wasn’t the right fit for my wife and I.

I still think that if they had offered the 2 speed system from the cherokee the Trailhawk would have made a lot more people’s short list. Its got the angles, there are lifts for them, but it doesn’t have the power/gearing. The thing that pisses me off is that its the same system as the single speed cherokee so its not like its an apples to oranges system, it COULD work. probably too expensive, but let the consumers decide.

I love the Renegade. I also love the Wrangler.

It’s hard to say... for most of my driving the Renegade would be far superior, and wouldn’t cry too loudly if I decided to do some light offroading. On the other hand, I’d probably deliberately try stuff in the Wrangler just because I could, so it’s not like the capability would be totally wasted.

I’d take the Wrangler. Then when I’m tired of it, I can sell it for nearly what I paid for it.

The Renegade has that FIAT depreciation, tho. My local dealer had four buybacks for sale a few weeks ago. Scary stuff.

IMHO fully loaded econo cars are stupid. If you want cheap, get cheap. My sister’s is awd, small uconnect, and auto. Its perfect for her.

Yeah, it was every used one they had. Looks like they still have them. Check out the first four:

Why is the Wrangler so much money with just AC, a 3.73, locker, and connectivity group? I spec’ed a Sport S and it came out to $31,865.

Pretty cheap if you ask me considering what you get. I mean you still get a high feature V6 and some pretty heavy running gear.

Don’t get me started. My sister just picked up a 2018 Compass lease... sticker was $29,755. Most on the lot were spec’d at or close to $32k. Honda and Toyota make MUCH better cars in that class for that kinda money.

Apparently, my sense of cost has not kept up with inflation apparently. To me this is a $28-$29k vehicle.

20 years ago the cheapest 6 cylinder Wrangler would cost you 26500 in today’s dollars. Today it’s 24000
