The Stinger is supposedly targeting BMW, Cadillac, Mercedes, Lexus, etc drivers...none of whom I imagine think of the stance-bro culture in a positive light. So you put this on your website?

Kinja'd!!!

It’s literally the first link if you google “KIA Stinger”

Now I don’t think it looks bad, but I don’t think it’s an improvement either. Plus, like I said, I would be willing to bet that it’s off-putting to their stated target audience.

Its West Coast Custom’s sema car, so theres that. FWIW the Borla car is much more tastefully done.

Agree that’s a weird way to advertise a car, but...

How to make the Kia Stinger look even worse:

1. Do that.

Not a new one though...I’ll give you all the internet points if you have an example of BMW putting a stanced BMW on their website

To be fair, West Coast Customs really isn’t the place to go for tasteful builds.

Seems like they’re appealing to the customers they have, and not the customers they want...

I think the Stinger is aimed at a the BMW guys who WOULD stance their car. I think Genesis is there to catch the rest.

I think they’re going for a younger enthusiast buyer. Like the people that used to buy BMWs. Back when BMW made enthusiast cars.

I mean, I’d consider myself a “younger enthusiast buyer” and I’m definitely interested in the Stinger as my next car, but this does not appeal to me in the slightest. It just feels like some old over-the-hill exec’s idea of what a younger enthusiast likes.

Ugh, tasteless. I really love the Stinger, and most of the publicity has been on point but this is just bad.

Seems like when they meant BMW and Mercedes, they forgot to mention it’s those who buy the used ones then rice the shit out of them and drive/park like crap.
