It’s a vegan personality cult front. They spend their money on lawyers more than they do helping animals. Believe it or not the Humane Society is no better. The humane society is not actually affiliated with your local pet shelter, they are as much a vegan attorneys club as PETA.

I heard a story recently on This American Life podcast, wherein a photographer was sued by a monkey via PETA. They settled. It’s pretty interesting.

My neighbor used to have a pet pig, every time I saw him I couldn’t help but wonder how he’d taste. Is domesticated pig tastier than farm pig? Who knows what she fed him. If you’ve never heard a pig scream it’s pretty scary.

I think they’re exaggerating a lot of that to make PETA sound more sinister than they actually are. I’ve supported them for years because, while their shenanigans are sometimes annoying, they bring attention to issues that most everybody ignores.
