I’ve been working a ton of crazy hours and just got word that I’m being promoted. Finally decided to pull the trigger and retire the z. It was a ton of fun but maintenance costs from commuting on north jersey highways were getting out of hand. Just went and bought a brand new 2017 jk. 2 doors 3 pedals and a soft top just as the jeep gods intended

Ha, your automotive path is suspiciously similar to mine! Went from a 3-pedal C5 Corvette to a 3-pedal Jeep and have been reasonably happy with it. I mean, it’s kinda slow and rides like a lumber cart, but I knew what I was signing up for. There’s a certain freedom to being able to completely ignore potholes and dead raccoons on the road. Also, not feeling bad about skipping a few weeks of car washes is a new thing for me. Enjoy it and get those doors off as soon as it warms back up!

I wanted the half doors so they’d be lighter to bring up to my 2nd floor apartment. Eventually the doors come off completely in the summer
