So I can’t put it in garage. It’s going to have to live outside for the winter. My plan is to take the battery out and into the house. Basement or whatever.

Leave in neutral and parking brake disengaged.

Some suggest overinflating tires to max allowed on sidewall so it air doesn’t shrink to a point tires are loose on rim and go flat. I don’t know if I like that idea or if I should just jack it up but then suspension is hanging...

What else am I missing / doing wrong?

put plywood down, put carpet scraps under the tires, take a plastic tarp over the greenhouse, put a breathable tarp over that. place mothballs in the interior, fill the gas tank up to full, and bungee cord your tarps nice and tight. That’s how I do it.

I just cleaned mine up for winter but still plan on driving it every so often to avoid any tire and battery issues. I’ve seen people suggest storing with a full tank of gas with some fuel stabilizer in it if you don’t plan on driving it.

It would be good to get the tires off the ground in the unlikely event that they flat spot. A full tank of non-ethanol fuel would also be wise.

Steel wool in the exhaust pipes keeps critters and shit out. Mothballs under the hood to keep critters out and perhaps some moisture absorbent in the interior?

That’s how my ST is stored.

Don’t forget a battery tender and fuel stabilizer.

Full gas tank with fuel stabilzer in it, and then the suggestions others have already made.

Do you need to battery tender a battery that’s pulled out?

Yes, it’s a good idea.

I would at least trickle-charge it overnight after removal, and overnight before install.

Winter tires, drive carefully.

Does it have T-Tops? If so, put a tarp over it so they don’t leak. You should put a few cans of that moisture absorbing stuff inside it too.

While it has traction control, I have a feeling i’ll be spinning tires for a long time on any incline

a really nice, breatheable car cover works great, brush the snow off it so it can do it’s job.

Full tank of ethanol free gas with the proper amount of fuel stabilizer added. Add the fuel stabilizer right before you fill up the tank so filling it mixes it well, then drive a few miles after to make sure stabilized fuel is pulled through all the lines. The steel wool in the exhaust pipes is a good idea so you don’t get mice building nests in them. I would lean towards jacking it up so the tires aren’t touching the ground, otherwise you’ll get flat spots on them. Even if you leave it on the ground, the flat spots should go away after a few miles of driving. If the battery is going on a concrete floor I would stick a board or something under it so it isn’t directly on the floor. I’ve not stored a battery like that, but have heard they can go flat if left on bare concrete.
