My mom’s car got a nail in the tire some months back, and it has been leaking to the tune of about 3 psi a week. She’s out of town so I’m tasked with getting it fixed, along with the annual service.

Now this is a Cayenne with the upgrade 20" wheels, so I was prepared for the bill. Must be $300+. But the dealer dropped my jaw with a quote for $530. For just the tire.

I noped the hell out of there and ordered the tire on TireRack for $309. Local installer wants $20 to do the job.

We returned the Fiat today, and also got that missing A/C recharge line cap for the new Compass.

Kinja'd!!!

All this had to be scheduled around several work meetings. At least the F355 isn’t causing headaches.

Ouch. Just left work to find the TPS sensor go off and the car alert me to a pressure change in the rear left tyre. Possibly a nail, so maybe a new tyre will be needed, tyre is covered under insurance and will be replaced at no cost or penalty on my policy.

Happy days, it’s just the inconvenience of taking it to a garage to do it.
