I mean, yeah, it makes sense. If it was slippery enough to spin on, they wouldn’t be able to do a lift on it, and if it was grippy enough to hold onto for a lift, then any sort of spins around it would maker the dancer very sore.

I am reminded of a time in HS (ugh. So glad I never have to live through that again) when I answered someone else’s inquiry about whether or not porn stores were open on Sundays. Not from personal experience, which I am certain the class assumed; but can you think of any one type of store that would for sure be open on Sundays just to go against everything that being closed on Sunday stands for more than adult bookstores?
I found my reasoning to be logical, but of course never got explain myself as the class started laughing at me awkwardly.
Have I mentioned I fucking hated HS.

Easy - ask anyone who pole dances. Literally something they show you while you tour the place. Don’t even need to go see it yourself. Plenty of people take the first class and see that and are like “BWOOOOAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!” so they tell everyone else.
