Used to have a WRX, I missed AWD I love how this thing drives. It’s a 2017 so it has the updated Haldex programming.

Haldex works just fine overall IMO. Never had issue with it in my Golf R.

I’m interested to see how my Mk6 R does this year with snow tires, I really haven’t felt it kick-in before even when auto-crossing

I had a MK6 R. It was definitely noticeable in the snow to me. Honestly worked just as well as the car I had before it, a B6 Avant.

I think on the road it’s fairly seamless. If I kept the car I was going to go with HPA’s Haldex controller, which offers considerably more aggressive rear bias.

I hear people raving about the 2017 and later S3 and the TTS’s haldex programming which is the only reason I brought that up.

It drives amazing. IDK how the Golf R is but I did try to buy one however they are seemingly much harder to get around here than an S3.
