I was leaning towards replacing my lid, and you guys knocked me over with a wrecking ball!

I’ve got two options narrowed down. Any opinions?

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

First is a Shark Spartan. My current and potentially busted lid is a shark vision r series 2. Other than the mediocre ventilation, I absolutely love it. You can still buy one, but if I am shopping for a new lid, might as well get the current gen, and the price difference isn’t that drastic. Reviews seem to show that the ventilation is improved, but still not fantastic. Living in SoCal, this is a pretty big deal in the summer. I pretty much always ride with the visor cracked on my current shark.

Second is the Schuberth S2. Its a bit more expensive, but I can buy one for $350 on closeout. Based on the price, this looks to be the nicer of the two. I have only ever heard fantastic things about Schuberth, but I can’t say I’ve ever used one. My big worry is that Schuberth use their own version of Cardo’s intercom systems, and I am rocking a Sena. The S2 comes prewired for the Cardo, so I don’t know how easy it will be to get my intercom hooked up, since it is the SMH10-r model that is very difficult to install.

Anyone have any oppopinions?

Head shape. It is my opinion to always try on a helmet for 10/15 min prior to purchase. webbikeworld.com usually does a pretty good job generalizing fits to at least get you into the ball park of what helmets to be looking for.
