Silver Mazda theme. Finally figured out my foam cannon haha. Was never spraying like on the YouTube, just had to turn the front nozzle!

For those wondering, my regime is for the lazy. Start with pressure wash wheels, foam whole car, rinse, 2 bucket wash, rinse, leaf blower dry, final dry with Meguir’s D15601 spray wax. Not bad doing simultaneously on both the Mazdas

After exhaustive testing I’ve found it’s much easier to do cars at once as opposed to doing one start to finish and then doing a second one. This system only works with either no sunlight, or poor light, and plenty of moisture in the air.

But seeing as how I only have time to wash my cars on Friday nights it works out.

Looking good.

Looks like the heavy duty PA lance. The until will last forever.

A strip down once a year or so to descale the gauze in the unit will keep the thick foamy goodness coming.

You did wise with grey, easier to look after and in the Aussie sun wouldn’t get too hot.

Fortunately I only wash cars in the evening also =)

Silver cars make it too easy. Would never do this with my own bimmer haha

Thanks is for the tip bud. It’s actually just a cheap rip off lance from aliexpress, although I’m sure they are all rebranded of the same basic unit.

The 3 belongs to the missus. The cx5 is my father’s I’m borrowing while the bimmer is incapacitated again haha.

Silver makes life quite easy for maintainance, but gosh it’s boring.

The PA is one of the original foam lances. It’s copied a lot but still using brass.

Keep this video to one side for future use.

Ye’, silver can be boring but it’s good that it hardly ever looks all that dirty (just a duller grey), it’s an inoffensive colour that holds it’s value more than many coloured cars.

We had a silver Skoda Superb Mk2.

Here she is after we sold her.

Unfortunately silver is probably the most common car I get to wash.

Got a link? I’m still using a regular garden hose but wouldn’t mind building a list for a pressure set up.

goes without saying that you need to get the right adaptor for your pressure washer. I use Meguir’s Gold Class for the solution because again... being cheap.

I find silver and white (my colors) somewhat harder, but only in respect to getting the cleaning done right the first time, and not spotting a bunch of missed spots the next day in the right light.

I was actually retarded enough to forget to wipe off the spray sealant on the front of my Mercedes last time. The spray is basically white, going on a white car, and I was tired and forgot to check. Whoops.

I never thought of that. Every car in my immediate family gets an initial clay, polish and coating of soft99 Fusso-coat. Then the same maintenance as above after that is easy. My mum’s black Honda pain can go rot in hell though - soft black paint never again

It depends on the obsessiveness of the detailer. Personally, I hate the dried water that creeps out of all the panels after I’ve washed the car. Some people don’t. It’s also why I hate washing poorly made vehicles. With the Golf, I only have to worry about water being stuck in the mirrors, and tiny pockets stuck in the hatch. But both water lines only amount to four lines, which is easy to clean.

Oh, and I will never do soft black paint. If I had to buy one, it would immediately get coated.
