Finally built a server today.
Screenshot from when the firmware updates were running. I think... it was probably worth it, and I probably should have just sucked it up and gone with 10tb RAID1.
Between this, and this:
the future is, at least, interesting. Oh yeah: i also fixed a toilet. Float valve replacement is pretty easy.

The car, NAS, or toilet?
The NAS is a Qnap and some seagate IRONWOLF HDDs. Had to get those for the name alone.

Cool. Do you like it so far? I have a FreeNAS setup that’s been going for a couple years. Last year I rebuilt it with a proper server class motherboard and 32 GB of ECC ram. I have Seagate NAS drives but from before the cool name rebrand.
