I couldn’t follow any of that. I am so glad I am too old to give a shit about social media. Is the complaint here that you broke the rules and got banned but it should be okay because other people who you were abusive to are bad people who also break the rules and are super yucky?

Twitter has been verifying (the little blue check mark which indicates someone is considered a “contributor to society”, usually given to celebrities and the like) people who are Nazis and act like Nazis while simultaneously banning people who speak out against the Nazis.

I’m not actually involved in any of this.

But, the tl;dr is basically that Twitter certainly seems to be supporting Nazis while hemming and hawing about how “things aren’t working” but never actually fixing them.

There are people on twitter who are actual, literal, “Aryan race = best race” Nazis. A few of them had their accounts verified by twitter, an honor twitter only bestows upon more prominent, “esteemed” accounts. Meanwhile twitter has permanently banned some of the people telling said literal nazis to GTFO.

Never really cared for Twitter. Used it once when I used the word inconceivable in a tweet. A bot replied “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

I deleted my account that instant and went out and stabbed someone.

Twitter is bad for your health.
