I love my GTO named Lilith
I think the GTO was one of GM’s best ideas. It is sad they will no longer be importing V8 Aussiemobiles (yes that is a word), but that doesn’t mean all the options for the vehicles were good.
Like my car (above) had the 17" wheels, but the 18" wheels are choice!
But let us see some of the interior options..
You could get the GTO in Cosmos Purple with purple interior....
Or Red with red interior
Or blue like mine with blue interior
If you have seen other comments of mine I am very much against full color interiors. I think color should be reserved for accents to enhance the interior, not overwhelm it.
Personally I love the color in the door cards, rear side trim to match the door cars, and dash and console accents. Those along with the black seats and color matched stitching (already standard on the black seats) would make for a very handsome interior. I think that is how GM should have imported the cars. Just some fun information for you all.

The GTO trunk in miniscule
Why you ask? Well GM couldn’t or wouldn’t make the factory under car Holden tank pass US safety regulations, so in the trunk it went.
With the interior trim it takes up a lot of space

Disagree. Color matched interiors are awesome, and need to make a comeback. My favorite thing about the new Continental, is that you can get a color matched interior.

I love that blue interior. To my eyes, it’s still two-tone because the dash, console, etc. are still black.

It is way too much for me. Maybe if the seats were two tone too, like blue inserts, but all the leather blue just kills it for me.

That purple interior is hideous. I really like the blue though. Ford also did this with the last generation thunderbird. It might be a sign that a brand is dying when it has a color matching interior.

No, what’s wrong is every single interior being black, grey, or beige. I crave color. If any manufacturer had the balls to sell me a new crew cab truck, with color matched interior panels and two plaid bench seats, I would buy it right damn now, family budget be damned.

It’s actually 2.1 cubic feet smaller, not the opening is another story

I swear it is also narrower between the wheel wells. Which is a fine trade off for wide tires and the suspension out back but it makes for an awkward trunk.

I’m sure you also know, but the red interior could be had in Quicksilver Metallic and Phantom Black Metallic cars, too.
I was very confused when I saw this title, and that the subject vehicle was the GTO. Here’s a listing of every option (besides paint and interior color) for all three model years:
2004: Transmission
2005: Transmission, 17" wheels with all-season junk or 18" wheels with ok summer rubber, hood scoop delete
2006: Transmission, 17" wheels with all-season junk or 18" wheels with ok summer rubber
And that’s it.

I really want to try driving one of these. I have a feeling I would absolutely love this car.
I like the red interior, although it would be better on a black car. The purple is a bit much and the blue is bad.

SAP wasn’t factory, though. That was a dealer installed option, so it doesn’t really count if you ask me. And you could do it in just bits and pieces, very rare to see one with the whole package, even 10 years ago.

It is a dealer installed factory option. You have no idea how many accessories and option when ordering a car are dealer installed. I have a room full of parts waiting for their associated vehicles to be delivered that have not been installed yet because it is cheaper for GM to deliver under built cars and pay the dealership to install parts.
So I fully count SAP as a factory option.
And just like many other options I could buy just 1 pickup running board instead of the set if you wanted. Even though those are factory options.
