2018 XC90 Inscription Package, Polestar, accessory 22 inch wheels, accessory LED running boards, T6 AWD with only 1,229 miles meets curb.
RIP list:
steering knuckle
fork
control arm upper
air spring
wheel speed sensor connector
terminals x2 (Gold)
wheel repair (was repairable)
It has these 22 inch wheels. The damage was mainly in the center of one of the spokes where the little opening is. Didn’t hit on its rim/tire area at all oddly enough.
dat OCD!!! Not even....even!
Parts were a little under $3000 plus $950 labor and whatever the wheel repair people will charge for their service.

It’s so obvious Jadeyn and Koltyn can’t share one iPad Pro.
Still, it should be warranty because all the car’s tech should have either corrected itself or auto-braked before hitting the curb. I think complaining to Volvo directly after burning our dealer on Yelp for not covering it is the only next logical steps.

I only know one person with a current XC90, and she’s not the demographic - she’s extremely intelligent with an advanced degree in some math-related field, and good kids. Hers is a T8 no less. But I also live in Stepford central, so I can make an educated guess :)

Very similar things have occurred with customers wanting things to be covered by warranty that clearly wouldn’t be. Then they go off on loud rants and demand to speak with the owner. Once they say that, I literally want to get some popcorn because our owner, the most wealthy and baddest ass lawyer in Texas, sets them straight in the most effortless, brutally professional and fantastic ways possible lol :]

I will say we got a whole lot more lime juice out of each lime then I would have ever expected. A whole pitcher of margs only took 2 limes. Also is very satisfying.

My dad used to work at a pontiac dealership near a roundabout in Michigan. Favorite part of the day on snowy days was when someone inevitably didnt notice that a roundabout was coming up and speared straight through the center. They fixed a LOT of blown suspension parts and replaced a LOT of ruined wheels.

The inside of my green one looked like some kind of powdered metal with green paint on the outside. Still a cheaply made random grocery store item though. I almost bought this fancy OXO one to replace it...
...but I cheaped out on a similar cheap one that was yellow instead of green haha.
Oh and for that popcorn my wife is all about putting different flavored stuff on popcorn so I’ll try it, but might have to mix in a little paprika to take the heat down for her.

I find it works best if I hit it with the skin facing up first, flip the lime half, smush the remaining juice out of the pulp, then flip it again to get out the last of the juice.

And you’re a mechanic by trade right?
They must have done something very unique lol. Although thinking about the physics for a sec it does make sense, usually when you hit something the tire takes the impact(duh that’s the point) and even if you curb it really good the rim will absorb most of the force and probably be the first fail point. Hitting in the middle of the rim like transfers the force straight into the knuckle instead of the rim spokes

indeed, the typical things that get damaged on these new multilink XC90 when hitting a deep pot hole or regular curb didn’t have any issue after this odd impact. Still, a bent spindle or even a bent air shock is one thing, absolutely snapping both was more the effect of a direct lateral impact.
