Kinja'd!!!

My dad’s 16 audi s6. Litteraly every light on the dashboard is on, car died at a light, was able to be restarted and moved to a parking lot, but won’t stay running. Now it won’t even start. The dash is displaying a malfunction with every system from parking brake to steering to tpms. It won’t even lock. Only thing preventing this from being the ultimate vw failure is that it’s still under warranty.

At this rate, the lights will burn out soon, too.

its probably going to be ONE part that controls it all.

sadly, that ONE part is also probably going to be very expensive

I see the issue. It’s because he’s listening to the fox news channel. Turn that off and restart the car. Should be fine. Audi’s are liberal media only cars...

I had that experience on my BMW. It wasn’t *quite* everything, but it was several things and it sent the car into limp mode then refused to start. And it was just a stupid electrical junction box.

Considerits litteraly every system, I’m going to guess the main engine computer

if he is unlucky. If he is lucky, its just the fuse for said ECU

Might as well light it on fire and walk away.

That’s how you know your VAG car is broken in.

But don’t you want to hear how the car’s failure is Hilary’s fault?

Anybody check the system voltage?

<10V can make everything look bad as the main ECU browns out.

As another commented, check the voltage. Those systems are all handled by different modules, so likely not all of them shitting the bed at once, but more likely an overarching electrical issue. Bad ground at battery, possibly, or just a weak battery? I’d check the battery terminals first. Have you had a bunch of rain lately? Possibly leaking into the modules? The first gen Q7s were known to leak from the pano roof down the d-pillar into a bunch of electrical parts at the rear and cause all kinds of issues. Hopefully not that, but good thing the warranty is still in effect. Good luck.

I’m going to guess the CAN gateway shit the bed, so probably either the instrument cluster or the body control module.
