My derailleur hanger just bent out of shape. The only store that sells these pieces and ships them to Mexico for my bike is in ISRAEL. The company, Pilo Engineering is great, not cheap perhaps, but I love them for being the only people not blocking me from buying their beautiful CNC’ed hanger just because I live in a protectionist country.

Yeah, might as well, afterall if I’m getting pieces from such a far away land I should at least get the shipping’s worth

I had a cannondale break a rear hanger, wheels manufacturing makes replacement hangers for just about every bike under the sun. Would be frustrating if international shipping was taxed tho. There are huge bike shops in Ireland who internet sell just about everything.

Talking about the LaPierre. Never heard of that brand, but I just looked up its website.

I ride a FreedomRyder FRH-1 hand cycle now. I used to ride a Conalgo Mexico steel road frame with Campy Chorus back in the day (still have it in my parents’ basement). I loved learning about the smaller and local frame builders though.

Nice. I bought the LaPierre cus it was the cheapest with the things I wanted (rock shox, hydraulic brakes, etc) But seeing my current issue I should’ve boughten something more common here in Mexico, like a Trek

You know, you probably have local frame builders who could help you out if you can’t get the part you need. They might be able to fit something, even if they can’t outright fabricate it.

Yes, but as you said, no good fit, and they would probably charge similar amounts of money and take just as long. MTBs have no real following here in Mexico City, I could probably get anything for a cruiser or a tour bike, but for this monster (its an XL frame) I would have to go somewhere like Valle de Bravo where the local frame makers are crazy good with mountain bikes, they are so good!

I’d trust the frame makers in Valle de Bravo to perform open heart surgery without knowing about medicine, thats how good they are.

Wheels Manufacturing?

Or http://www.derailleurhanger.com/

Hanger 61 looks like it. Go to school on the compatability chart from there

Oh, well then, road trip!

Not the budget option, but would make a better story.
