The Answer. These are quite rare here as Mazda never had a real presence in the Brazilian market and most were private imports.
Seemed to be in very good shape but a bit dirty and was driven by an older gentleman in a leather jacket (I’m guessing the original owner).

Yeah, we basically pay between 2x to 3x more for most things. But this was probably imported in the 1990's, so it makes sense.

I actually saw two different NA Miatas in São Paulo in the past month. Needless to say, I was taken by surprise both times. Had only ever seen a handful roaming our streets prior to that.

I’ve only seen 3. Two red ones (one was for sale on Av Europa - Private Collections and this one) and a green one with a beige top near my apartment.
