I guess the GSXR sales argument is a solid one, but sportbike sales have been slipping for years and they need a way to shine above the competition in the current battleground that is “real” street bikes. I don’t understand why so few brands do it, and even less bring it over to NA. KTM lost a customer in me by not having the duke 690R in the USA, that would have been in my stable so damn quick.
Alas, I had to settle for my STR when I was hungry for something fancier than the SV :p
