I’m interested to see A) if this Turo thing is actually legit and B) what the car is like to drive. I’m excited!
Fees and insurance and young driver fee made it a little over $400 for the 2 days. It’s a little pricey, but when is the next time I’ll be able to drive with the top down along the beach. I drive a Subaru and live in Connecticut so not very soon.

Turo is definitely legit, I used it twice already, without any problems.

Just make sure you have a physical copy of the insurance with you. I may or may not have personal experience with reasons why you may need that.

Id say go for it, i used Turo last summer and it was a great experience. It’s the same as a rental company, before and after pics, fill it up with gas, no smoking/eating/excessive hoonery, specific drop off and pick up times but way more interesting options (me and a few friends rented a 500 Abarth and NC miata for a mountain drive). As long as everything’s legit (car’s been reviewed well on previous trips, owner doesn’t seem sketch in pre-trip communication) there’s not really a reason to use an actual company.
