I had almost given up on Indian building anything more exciting than the Scout, but here they go teasing us again.

They built the rad FTR750 for flat track racing and dominated

Kinja'd!!!

They’ve built a one-off, street legal custom version with the Scout engine

Kinja'd!!!

Now just put it into production!!!

Not sure how they would handle wheels and tires. Flat trackers run 19" wheels cause thats the rules, but for a street machine there’s really not any good rubber. They could work with a tire company I guess or go to a more conventional set of 17" wheels. Whatever, those are details. Please Polaris, let Indian build an awesome street tracker!

With the demise of Victory and the desire for Indian to be “Not Harley” - a low production version of this *could* be a good brand booster if they followed it up with things like a more performance oriented scout and perhaps a smaller, lighter model that’s a proper standard instead of Harley’s half-assed “Street” lineup.

Idea - just outright call it the “Tracker”! Then you have the chieftan up top, the roadmster, the scout, and the tracker as the entry model. Honest to god names instead of the alphabet soup the rest of the industry uses.

That bike with 17" wheels wouldn’t be too bad at all. It wouldn’t look as much like dirt tracker, but it would be better in every other measurable way.
