For $10,000 you can get a ride along in his “NitroX2" top fuel dragster. He got bounced for using an NHRA chassis tag on a non-approved car (apparently).

$10,000 is a lot and they may not get many takers. But for $500 or maybe even $1000 I would consider doing it.

$10,000 for one run? As in like, a 3 second ride?

How many runs do they get out of a motor? This might explain the cost.

One. They tear the engine down even if it doesn’t blow up to check everything. The clutch has to be replaced after each run as it’s designed to fuse solid but the end of the track.

This could be the most exciting 3-4 seconds of my life since losing my virginity.

Usually yes, but this looks like it doesn’t have a supercharger on it. So probably closer to a Top Alcohol motor, which might last longer, but I’m not sure.

3-4 seconds? Just wait until you reach age 50.

There is a supercharger, it’s buried but it’s there. That said it’s probably tuned down a bunch, probably closer to 1990s levels (6k hp or so).

Looking closer, you’re right. Seems like they’re easier to see on the normal cars. I wonder if the rollcage on the second seat is built a little taller to accommodate larger passengers.

Vid says 10,000. Still down a bit though.

I mean if NHRA is marketing 10k hp and you’re wanting to do a ride-along experience, would you market it as 6k or 7k hp and turn away people who “want” the full 10k? Regardless, the average person they’ll never notice several thousand horsepower are missing.
